Overview
Brig & Barq Brewing and Moonrise Ridge Cider is looking for an Assistant to join our production team. This role is essential in supporting the brewing process, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate will have an interest in the food and beverage industry, with a focus on manufacturing and food safety practices. This position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in brewing and cider making.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the packaging of beer and other products, ensuring accuracy and adherence to quality standards
- Operate equipment such as forklifts to move raw materials, finished products, and supplies safely within the facility
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all brewing areas, tools, and equipment following food safety protocols
- Help with mechanical tasks related to equipment maintenance or troubleshooting minor issues
- Follow safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment for all team members
- Assist in inventory management by tracking supplies and ingredients used during production, help with deliveries.
Skills
- Experience or familiarity with packaging processes in a manufacturing or food industry setting is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge or aptitude for troubleshooting equipment issues is a plus
- Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently (training provided if necessary)
- Strong understanding of sanitation standards and food safety regulations
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality checks
- Knowledge of food processing techniques and manufacturing best practices
- Attention to detail to ensure product quality and compliance with safety standards
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
