Tradesman / Handyman / Renovator – Contract

Elite Smart Homes is a growing smart home and renovation company delivering high-end residential projects across Toronto, Thornhill, and Richmond Hill. We're looking for a hands-on tradesman/woman or handyman with a strong finishing background to join our small, skilled team on a contract basis.
No smart home experience? No problem — we'll train you. You'll always be working alongside experienced team members who are there to demonstrate, coach, and support you as you grow.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Finishing & Carpentry (Primary Focus)
- Baseboard and trim installation — clean cuts, tight joints, professional results
- Caulking and sealing — doors, windows, trim, and transitions
- Painting — walls, trim, touch-ups, and full-room finishes
- General finish carpentry and detail work
General Site Work
- Drywall installation and repairs
- Furniture, vanity, and shelving assembly
- Assisting with smart home device installs (TV mounting, cable management, device rough-in)
- Site prep, floor protection, masking, and end-of-day cleanup
- Maintaining a clean, organized work environment throughout the day — we work primarily in occupied, finished homes and hold ourselves to a high standard
- Additional tasks as required to support project completion
REQUIREMENTS
- At least 1–2 years of hands-on experience — ideally with a focus on finishing carpentry, trim, or painting
- Own basic hand tools (power tools and specialty tools provided)
- Reliable transportation to get to job sites independently
- Comfortable working in occupied, finished homes — professional, tidy, and respectful on site at all times
- Able to take direction, follow a task schedule, and work as part of a small team
- Strong attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work
