We are seeking a skilled and reliable Insulator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing insulation systems in various building projects. This role requires attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Prior experience in construction or insulation work is preferred, along with the ability to interpret blueprints and operate hand tools.
Duties
- Measure and cut insulation materials to fit designated areas according to project specifications
- Install insulation in walls, ceilings, floors, and pipes using appropriate techniques and tools
- Apply caulking and sealants to ensure proper insulation performance and energy efficiency
- Use hand tools such as knives, drills, and saws to complete installations accurately
- Read blueprints and technical drawings to determine insulation placement and specifications
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to meet project deadlines and quality standards
- Inspect completed work for quality assurance and make necessary adjustments or repairs
Skills
- Proficiency in caulking, handling hand tools, and working with construction materials
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret technical instructions
- Knowledge of insulation materials, techniques, and safety procedures
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks in various weather conditions
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Prior experience as an insulator or in related construction roles is a plus
