Your role
Join our team as an Assistant Project Manager with the Eastern Ontario team.
Our Assistant Project Managers get the opportunity work with the best in the industry and to develop their skills on a diverse range of projects that vary in scope and complexity with the Eastern Ontario business unit.
To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate experience supporting projects varying in scope and complexity with depth in building and facilities project in healthcare, education and commercial mixed-use environments.
Responsibilities:
- You are a critical communication link between the Project Manager, client and other stakeholders

You provide superior project support to Project Managers by managing schedule updates, maintaining project controls, developing progress reports and preparing tender and contract documents

You attend important project meetings, documenting action items and key decisions to share with the team

Provide relief support to other Assistant Project Managers or Project Managers, when available to do so
Qualifications:
- A university degree or diploma in engineering, architecture, construction management, project management or an equivalent combination of education and experience

1 to 3 years experience working in similar professional consulting services environments gained through summer work terms, co-operative education programs or internships

Previous exposure to consultant and design management, construction contract administration or project financials is a strong asset

An overall general understanding of current construction practices

CAPM, LEED or other relevant industry accreditation is considered a strong asset

Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills

Self-motivation, initiative and an eagerness to learn and contribute

Highly proficient in MS Project, MS Word and MS Excel
Expected Compensation: $58,965 – $74,574 per year (CAD)
