Overview
The Meadows Golf & Country Club is one of Ottawa's premier public golf facilities, featuring 36 holes of championship golf. We offer extensive practice facilities, leagues, tournaments, instructional programs, and a vibrant golfing community. We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team of Volunteer Player Assistants (PAs) for the 2026 golf season.
With a roster of approximately 48 Player Assistants, this role is ideal for retirees, golf enthusiasts, and individuals who enjoy being outdoors, interacting with people, and contributing to an exceptional golf experience.
** NOTE: This position requires the candidate to have regular access to a vehicle, as our location is not supported by public transit.
Duties
- Monitor and encourage appropriate pace of play throughout the golf course.
- Assist golfers with course directions and local rules.
- Provide excellent customer service and represent The Meadows in a professional manner.
- Support the Golf Operations team during tournaments and special events.
- Assist with player starts and on-course traffic flow when required.
- Report safety concerns, course issues, or emergencies to Golf Operations staff.
- Promote a positive and enjoyable environment for all golfers.
- Other responsibilities as requested by management.

- Enjoy the game of golf and spending time outdoors.
- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills to create a positive experience for guests and participants
- Ability to handle guest services efficiently, including addressing inquiries or concerns
- Friendly demeanor with a positive attitude
