About You
We are currently looking to hire a caring and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team of qualified health care professionals. The ideal candidate must be able to attend to multiple patients at a time in a fast-paced environment. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will make clinical decisions and plan care as part of an inter-professional health care team. You will be supported by experienced primary care practitioners, including physicians, nurse practitioners, psychiatrists, nurses, social workers and pharmacists
Job description :
- Monitor, assess, diagnose and prescribe treatments to patients
- Communicate diagnosis and treatment plan options with patients and other healthcare staff
- Liaise with physicians and other internal and external members of the health care team to ensure resident care needs are met;
- Advocate for, and facilitate, the principles of self-care by ensuring involvement of patients in their own care plan.
- Liaise with physicians and other internal and external members of the health care team to ensure resident care needs are met;
- Respond to emergency situations and assess patients to identify appropriate interventions
- Practice in accordance with College of Nurses of Ontario Practice Standards and Ministry of Health regulations.
- Practice in accordance with the rules and security requirements of the facility.
Requirements:
- Current College of Nurses of Ontario registration in the Extended Class (EC)
- 1-3 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner
- Professional Liability Insurance
- Current CPR and First Aid Certificate
- Clear Police Vulnerable Sector Check within the last 12 months
- TB test within the last 12 months
- Proof of covid-19 vaccination
- Must be familiar with online charting (eg. MEDITECH, e-MAR, Point-Click-Care)
- Ability to work solely or as part of a team in a fast-paced, busy environment
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $80.00-$85.00 per hour
