Summary
We are seeking an optician to join our team in Oshawa. Be an important member of a team in ensuring a wonderful and memorable patient experience. We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic, highly motivated, reliable, friendly person to work in our eye clinic and optical dispensary.
Responsibilities
- Assist with eyewear frame selection, recommendations on lens choices, and task-specific eyewear.
- Assist with OHIP billings, insurance direct billing, lab orders, and verifications.
- Maintain a professional, efficient, clean environment.
- Manage front desk duties including scheduling appointments, appointment reminders, checking in patients, patient referrals, and handling insurance verifications.
- Preliminary testing of patients prior to Dr. examination.
- Skills
- Prior experience as an optician.
- Excellent communication skills, and ability to assist with patients from toddlers to seniors, demonstrating empathy and professionalism in all interactions.
- Excellent work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently
