We are currently recruiting for a day shift QC Inspector for flexible printed circuit boards. This is a full-time position (to start as a 3-month contract at first, with the possibility of being extended) based at our Toronto manufacturing plant (postal code M4B 1Y7, close to Victoria Park and Eglinton intersection):
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Carries out visual and dimensional inspection using a microscope on finished printed wiring flex/boards, stiffeners and adhesive materials.
- Performing in-process visual inspection manually and with the Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) / Automated Optical Test (AOT) equipment to IPC requirements.
- Accepts or rejects product based on customer, IPC, and military specifications.
- Performs minor rework and/or repairs such as solder touch up, cleaning and deburring.
- Package finished product according to traveler.
- Completes nonconforming and damaged materials reports as required.
- Completes inventory transfer records in the MRP system.
- Follows all health and safety policies and procedures.
- Wears personal protective equipment as prescribed.
- Follows all Company policies and procedures.
- Attends meetings as required and actively participates.
- Carries out housekeeping duties in order to maintain a clean work area and department clean.
- Performs other duties as assigned
EDUCATION:
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of three (3) years in a similar position with solid electronics manufacturing background in flexible PCB manufacturing and flexible PCB Assembly
- Knowledge of MIL-P-50884, IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-600
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- prolonged seated position for extended periods (often up to 8 hours daily) with focused concentration when performing visual inspection under microscope.
- need to stand up when using AOI/AOT equipment.
