JOB TITLE: Emergency Restoration Tech
DEPARTMENT: Emergency
1. SUMMARY / OVERVIEW
The basic role of the Emergency Restoration Tech includes attending new jobs to shift content, preparing the job site with poly and protection, loading/delivering equipment and inventory, demolition, asbestos abatement, mould cleanup and using a variety of tools and machines such as chalk lines, hand saw, circular saw, power drills, pressure washers, pump sprayers, air movers, dehumidifiers, water extraction and negative air machines.
2. DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
2.1. Respond to emergencies on a 24-hour on call basis
2.2. Perform work as assigned by the Manager
2.3. Remediate and dry sites and structures to Winmar / IICRC Standards.
2.3.1. shift content,
2.3.2. preparing the job site with poly and protection,
2.3.3. loading/delivering equipment and inventory,
2.3.4. demolition, asbestos abatement, mould cleanup and
2.3.5. using a variety of tools and machines such as chalk lines, hand saw, circular saw, power drills, pressure washers, pump sprayers, air movers, dehumidifiers, water extraction and negative air machines
2.4. Performs dry and/or wet cleaning techniques, according to the required scope, to structures and their contents including but not limited to: walls, appliances, carpets, upholstery, furniture, windows, floors, fixtures, dishes, etc. using state-of-the-art cleaning products and equipment.
2.5. Packs and inventories damaged contents for detailed cleaning using appropriate packing supplies and procedures.
2.6. Unpacks and performs detailed cleaning of damaged contents on-site or at contractor’s warehouse, and packs and inventories clean contents in new packing materials.
2.7. Protect the assets of the company and its customers
2.8. Work in compliance with Staff Polices and Health and Safety Polices
2.9. Uphold and implement all Winmar Safety Requirements and procedures
2.10.Complete demo and removals so that they are done correctly and to Winmar / IICRC Standards
2.11.Complete weekly van checklist and maintain organized van and workplaces
2.12.Complete PPE Inventory Checklist monthly

4. WORK CONDITIONS
4.1. Job site environment may include exposure to dust, smoke, moulds, mildew, cleaning agents, etc. and requires wearing appropriate protective clothing (i.e. mask, boots, gloves, safety eyewear, coveralls, etc.).
4.2. Work may be required at Heights, confined spaces, noisy, varying temperatures, indoors and outdoors.
4.3. Performance of job duties requires ability to do strenuous physical labor including but not limited to: ability to navigate stairs; climb to heights up to six feet; manual dexterity and strength to reach, stand, stoop, kneel, and bend.
4.4. Due to the nature of the business, there may be times when overtime is required to keep up with influx of calls
4.5. There may be periods of chemical exposure and times when this individual will be operating motorized equipment and power tools.
5. SUPERVISION
5.1. Reports directly to the Emergency Manager, Sr. Water Technician, Jr. Water Technician and Lead Water Technician for day to day duties and site-specific direction.
6. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
6.1. Experience 2+ years in Restoration
6.2. General use of power tools, read/write, various use of software via phone or computer, decision making, critical thinking, job task planning and organization, significant use of memory, finding information, continuous learning.
6.3. Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions; ability to work independently and as part of a team; detail-oriented and organized.
6.4. Must possess a current, valid driver’s license and carry appropriate. Have reliable personal vehicle in the course of employment for travel to and from work.
6.5. Bondable, clean criminal records, clean drivers abstract, valid level 1 first aid

Pay: $23.00-$28.00 per hour
