Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences.
- Supervise daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality standards are met.
- Manage inventory control and food procurement processes to optimize costs while maintaining freshness and quality.
- Oversee food safety compliance and sanitation practices in accordance with health regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Coordinate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and restrictions for diverse clientele.
- Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment focused on continuous improvement.
- Oversee catering events, banquets, and large-scale food production with precision and professionalism.
- Manage shift schedules, monitor labor costs, and ensure efficient workflow during busy service hours.
- Collaborate with restaurant management to develop menus that enhance customer satisfaction and operational profitability.
- Maintain high standards of food handling, serving, and hospitality to deliver memorable guest experiences.
Qualifications
- Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in fine dining environments.
- Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced kitchen or restaurant setting.
- Demonstrated expertise in banquet service, catering, and large-scale food production.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in sanitation and hygiene.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
- Experience managing inventory control, food management systems, and cost optimization strategies.
- Skilled in menu planning, kitchen management, and shift coordination to ensure smooth operations.
- Familiarity with the food industry standards for quality assurance and customer service excellence.
