Job Summary
We are an Independent Industrial Gas and Welding Supply company and we're seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Order Desk Customer Service Representative to join our team. Knowledge of the Industrial Gas or Welding industry is a strong asset for this position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues efficiently. This role requires strong communication skills, a customer-focused attitude, some understanding of the industrial gas and welding industry.
Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service by responding to inquiries via phone, email, and chat.
- Analyze customer needs and offer appropriate solutions or products for their gas or welding inquiries.
- Communicate effectively with customers to ensure clarity and satisfaction.
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette while handling calls professionally.
- Offer products and services when appropriate to enhance the customer experience.
- Collaborate with team members to pick customer orders in order to improve service delivery and resolve complex issues.
- Stay informed about product updates and company policies to provide accurate information.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education is a plus.
- Knowledge of the Welding Industry ( Welding Gases, Welding Machines and Welding Consumables ) is a significant advantage for this position.
- Proven experience in customer service or sales roles preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; bilingual proficiency in Spanish, Chinese or other languages is a significant advantage.
- Ability to analyze situations quickly and make sound decisions.
- Proficient in data entry with attention to detail.
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow within the company.
