REQUIREMENTS:
· Must have functional knowledge of fresh, frozen and processed foods related to the hospitality industry.
· Must be able to lift heavy objects (occasionally between 60-75 lbs) with or without reasonable accommodation for an entire shift.
· Overtime is required based on business demands; sometimes on short notice.
· Previous warehouse/forklift operation experience is mandatory.
· Must be dependable and a team player.
· Must be able to work regularly at a height of up to 26 feet above the ground (with provided safety equipment/processes/training).
· Strong attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy.
· High school diploma or equivalent with an ability to quickly and accurately process basic math.
· Must be well versed in safe food handling practices (training provided).
· Basic computer skills are required.
· Willingness and ability to work in a freezer environment for extended periods of time.
· Must have 1-2 years supervisory experience in a warehouse environment.
RESPONSIBILITES:
· Utilize an industrial forklift and order picker (certification preferred, but not required).
· Pick customer orders as per branch order picking policies and procedures.
· Assist drivers in loading trucks in an efficient, safe manner, checking to ensure the posted piece count is accurate.
· Select customer orders from cooler, freezer and shelves, place onto pallet, and load onto trailer/truck.
· Receive incoming orders strictly adhering to branch receiving policies and procedures.
· Assist in annual physical inventory process.
· Assist with deliveries and pick ups as required.
· Direct handling, repacking and quality control of fresh produce, dairy and protein.
· Perform all duties in a professional manner, completely devoid of anger or confrontations. Any form of “bullying” is grounds for dismissal.
· Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment.
· Supervise warehouse and delivery personnel in completing tasks as requested by the Director of Operations & Marketing.
· Ability to plan and coordinate personnel and tasks (multi-tasking required).
SALARY AND BENEFITS:
· 55,000 per year.
· Health and Dental benefits – after 3-month probationary period. Co-pay.
