Overview
Ryan's Powersports & Marine are seeking a skilled Marine Mechanic to join our team in maintaining and repairing a variety of boats and PWC. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience working with boat engines, systems, and components. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, ensuring the safety and optimal performance of marine equipment. Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues on various types of boats & PWC
- Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, propulsion systems, electrical systems, and other boat components
- Use hand tools and power tools to disassemble, repair, and reassemble equipment
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential problems before they escalate
- Maintain detailed service records for all repairs and maintenance activities
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and environmental regulations
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience working on marine engines or similar systems
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for repair work
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
- Prior experience in marine or automotive repair is required
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license
