making a positive impact. Under the general supervision of the Finance Manager, the Finance Clerk acts as the first
point of contact for employee, clients and customers. The role of the Finance Clerk is to create a welcoming
environment for the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serves as a general receptionist for Public Works & Parks by answering phones, receiving and directing
customer inquiries while delivering the highest levels of customer service
- Record and monitor department and fleet invoices for Accounts Payable
- Maintain records for River Park reservations and rentals and manage participant information for the
Community Gardens and Adopt-a-Planters
- Maintain City cemetery database and assist public by providing burial information
- Manage and direct correspondence information by retrieving, sorting, opening, dating, processing and
receipting mail and other documents.
- Complete work orders for account updates and changes
- Arrange and record utilities locates for service digs and construction
- Prepare and send out alerts to the public with the City alert system
- Maintain tree pruning records, requests and monthly statistics
SKILLS
- Well organized and able to prioritize tasks;
- Data entry and computer literate
- Team player with excellent communication and customer service skills
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Post-secondary education in Administration would be considered an asset
- Possession and maintenance of a valid Saskatchewan Class 5 licence
EXPERIENCE
- Experience in customer service and working in an office environment
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
