Acden Environment is accepting applications for a Temporary Class 1/Class 3 Operator to join its CNRL Horizon operations in Fort McMurray, Alberta. This position will consist of 6 days on, 1 day off, and 12-hour day and night shifts; however, schedules, shifts and site locations may change from time to time to meet operational requirements.

What you’ll be doing
- Maintain waste services through collection and transportation of waste and equipment
- Operate roll off truck and a loader with rotator attachment
- Complete thorough Commercial Vehicle Inspections, including documenting and reporting deficiencies promptly to immediate supervisor
- Inspect condition of waste bins, report defects, and monitor condition and functionality
- Notify dispatch of delays, unsafe work sites, incidents, equipment breakdowns and/or maintenance or operation concerns
- Ensure all waste services are completed in a safe and timely manner
- Address and resolve client concerns and when appropriate refer inquires to Leadership
- Ensuring that housekeeping and cleanliness of all worksites and equipment are sustained
What do you bring to the table?
- Valid Class 1 /Class 3 Operator’s License with airbrake endorsement is required
- Minimum of three (3) years of commercial driving experience is required.
- Successfully complete a driver’s evaluation on a manual 18- speed Class 1/3 vehicle is required
- Eligible to work on all Acden client sites is required
- Valid Common Safety Orientation (CSO); or BSO certificate, or a combination of CSTS & OSSA is required
- If selected for an interview, you must submit commercial 5-year drivers’ abstract that is not more than 30 days old
- Ability to obtain clearance on drug, alcohol, hearing, visual and physical abilities pre-employment testing is required; this role is designated as safety- sensitive.
- Experience with manual transmission and previous Roll Off experience is an asset
- Load securement experience in accordance with Alberta Load Securement practices is a strong asset to the position.
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) experience is an asset
- Site experience is considered an asset
