Duties
- Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, labeling, and dispensing to ensure accuracy and safety
- Manage inventory by receiving deliveries, stocking shelves, and monitoring medication supplies
- Provide excellent patient care by answering questions, offering guidance on over-the-counter products, and supporting medication adherence
- Maintain accurate medical records using pharmacy software systems and ensure compliance with privacy regulations
- Support medication administration processes under supervision, including organizing prescriptions for pickup or delivery
- Ensure the pharmacy environment is clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety standards
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate smooth communication regarding patient prescriptions and medication needs
Experience
- Prior experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting is highly desirable
- Experience as a pharmacy technician or in a similar role is preferred
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to medications and patient care
- Demonstrated ability to handle medication administration tasks accurately and responsibly
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and teamwork
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
