Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Brake Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating, setting up, and maintaining press brake machines to produce high-quality metal components in accordance with blueprints and specifications. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where mechanical knowledge and precision are essential for success.
Duties
- Operate and set up press brake machines to bend and form metal sheets according to detailed blueprints and technical drawings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine specifications.
- Use hand tools, calipers, and other measuring devices to ensure precision and quality of finished parts.
- Perform basic machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and adjustments to ensure optimal operation.
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the production process to verify dimensions and tolerances meet standards.
- Assist with material handling using cranes, forklifts, or plasma cutting equipment as needed.
- Follow safety protocols related to CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, welding, and machining operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
Skills
- Proficiency in operating press brake machines with a solid understanding of CNC programming and CNC laser cutting processes.
- Mechanical knowledge of CNC lathe, CNC milling machine, welding techniques, and general machining practices.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret technical specifications for manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with hand tools, calipers, and quality inspection tools to ensure precision in finished products.
- Experience with crane operation, forklift handling, plasma cutting, CNC programming, and assembly is highly desirable.
- Strong basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations during setup and production.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to manufacturing equipment such as CNC machinery, welding stations, and material handling equipment.

Pay: $21.00-$24.00 per hour
