Job Title: General Laborer – Roofing Crew (No Experience Needed)

Salary: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour

Overview Desjarlais Roofing Ltd. is a proudly Indigenous-owned and locally operated roofing company servicing Winnipeg and the surrounding regions. We are seeking dedicated and hardworking General Laborers to join our crews for the busy season.
In this role, you will be the backbone of our job sites—supporting our experienced roofers through material handling, site cleanup, and ground-level labor. We work hard, we take pride in our work, and we train our own. No prior roofing experience is required. We provide comprehensive, on-the-job training to help you succeed and build a career.
What You Will Do:
- Safely load, unload, and transport roofing materials (shingles, underlayment, tools) across the job site.
- Consistently lift and carry heavy materials (up to 80 lbs) throughout the day.
- Perform continuous site cleanup to ensure a safe and tidy environment for the crew and the homeowner.
- Follow directions directly from site supervisors and senior roofers.
- Work outdoors in varying Manitoba weather conditions.
What You Need to Have:
- Physical Stamina: The ability to lift heavy materials, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods.
- Transportation: Applicants must be able to reliably get to assigned job sites.
(A valid Manitoba Class 5 driver’s license is considered a strong asset but is not required for positions.)
- Gear: CSA-approved steel-toe work boots (other safety gear will be provided).
- Attitude: A strong work ethic, punctuality, and a willingness to hustle and learn.
- (Asset, but not required): Fall Protection / Working at Heights certification.
