Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Bar Manager to lead our bar team and oversee all bar operations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive beverage knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
As Bar Manager, you will be responsible for managing bar staff, maintaining high service standards, overseeing inventory and cost control, and ensuring a well-organized and efficient bar environment. The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality setting.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise bartenders and bar support staff during daily operations
- Ensure high standards of guest service and beverage quality
- Develop and maintain cocktail menus and beverage offerings when applicable
- Manage inventory, ordering, and supplier relationships for bar products
- Monitor liquor costs, portion control, and waste to maintain profitability
- Train and mentor bartenders on cocktail preparation, product knowledge, and service standards
- Ensure compliance with all liquor laws, health regulations, and responsible service policies
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the bar area
- Manage scheduling and staffing levels to support efficient service
- Work closely with front-of-house management and kitchen leadership to ensure smooth service operations
- Handle guest feedback and resolve issues professionally
- Maintain accurate records of inventory and bar performance
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of bartending or bar management experience
- Previous lead bartender or bar manager experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine
- Experience managing bar inventory, ordering, and cost control
- Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
- Knowledge of responsible alcohol service regulations
- Passion for hospitality and guest experience
