Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Counter Attendant/Cashier to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, handling food preparation, and managing transactions in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food industry operations, strong communication skills, and a focus on sanitation and safety standards. Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Operate POS systems, including Clover POS, accurately processing customer orders and payments
- Handle cash transactions with precision and ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, and addressing inquiries or concerns
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, adhering to food safety regulations
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service
- Assist with food safety practices such as proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Support team members in maintaining a clean, organized kitchen and dining area
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems, especially Clover POS, is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations quickly
- Excellent time management skills to handle high-volume periods efficiently
- Understanding of food safety standards and sanitation protocols
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting and communicate clearly with colleagues and customers
- Kitchen or food industry experience is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Hours are Monday - Friday 10:00am-2:00pm. No weekends and No holidays
