QUALIFICATIONS
- College or University: Administration, Business or Human Resources or Finance OR proven experience working within an office setting performing Administrative duties.
- Working knowledge of office equipment such as printers and fax machines.
- Proficiency with multiple software’s including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint in particular)
- Bilingualism is an asset but not required.
- Experience working with QuickBooks is an asset but not required.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT AT CANADIAN SHIELD HEALTH CARE SERVICES
- Participate in employee recruitment and hiring processes.
- Assist with HR functions
- Assist with Finance functions
- Manage and distribute information within the office.
- Maintain employee files and filing systems.
- Send and receive correspondence. Assist with creating letters and emails on behalf of Management.
- Execute administrative requests and provide support to employees and managers.
- Plan and attend meetings while taking detailed minutes.
- Answer and direct phone calls as needed.
- Review, update and maintain office policies and procedures.
- Create PowerPoint presentations and learning materials for staff education sessions.
- Participate in book keeping duties.
- Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
- Develop and update administrative systems to make them more efficient.
- Assist with employees and client schedules as needed.
