Position Summary:
Operate Stamping/Transfer presses, assist with or perform set ups as required. Able to complete minor repairs, adjustments and coordinating activities. Follow processes that quality products are produced in a safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating presses and all downline equipment.
- Perform setups and changeovers according to work instructions.
- Complete adjustments, equipment checks, repairs and other related activities.
- Ensure quality standards and safety measures are met at all times.
- Must be competent on a variety of press equipment - automatic and manual.
- Participate actively in continuous improvement activities.
Qualifications:
- Experience in an automotive manufacturing setting using various machinery.
- Experience in stamping/transfer presses.
- Must be competent performing press operations and set ups.
- Mechanically inclined – able to use measuring instruments.
- Experience on large presses is an asset.
- Able to work independently with little supervision.
- Able to perform physically demanding work.
