Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Restaurant Server to join our dynamic team. Prior experience in food service and familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS are highly valued. The Restaurant Server plays a vital role in maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering procedures and cash handling protocols
- Ensure proper food handling and sanitation practices are followed at all times
- Assist in setting up tables, refilling supplies, and maintaining cleanliness of dining areas
- Address guest inquiries promptly, providing excellent guest services and hospitality
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to multitask effectively with good time management skills
- Basic math skills for billing, cash handling, and upselling opportunities
- Experience with food preparation or kitchen operations is a plus but not required
- Demonstrated ability to work well within a team in a hospitality setting
