Overview
The PT Church Treasurer plays a vital role in managing the financial health of the church by overseeing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with financial policies. This part-time position offers an opportunity to contribute to the church’s mission through responsible financial stewardship, supporting the church community with integrity and professionalism. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience in financial services or accounting.
Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely processing of invoices and donations
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records and perform account reconciliation regularly
- Prepare financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to support church planning and decision-making
- Oversee cost management and monitor expenses to ensure fiscal responsibility
- Assist with investment oversight and ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulations
- Collaborate with leadership on financial planning, business development initiatives, and strategic growth efforts
- Ensure proper documentation of all financial transactions in accordance with church policies
- Support audit processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations as needed
Qualifications
- Proven experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial services; experience in a Charity or Non-Profit Organization finance preferred
- Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, and account reconciliation processes
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Familiarity with risk analysis, risk management, and cost control strategies
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while maintaining open communication with church leadership
- Demonstrated integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information
- Agree to and abide by the KWCF statement of Faith and Biblical personal characteristics

Pay: $28,000.00-$33,500.00 per year
