Expected Salary Range: $90810 - $113512 Annually
Target Variable Performance Pay: 8%

The final salary offered will be determined based on a holistic assessment of the candidate’s experience, education, training, and alignment with the role’s requirements. As a Capital & Maintenance Program Analyst, you’ll support financial planning, operational tracking, vendor coordination, and execution of key operational and capital expenditure Metering Operations programs. You will support and develop planning models, building dashboards, streamline workflows, and provide data driven insights that directly influence program performance and customer outcomes. This is a high impact role with visibility across field operations, finance, supply chain, engineering, and various departments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Preparing financial planning, including cost modeling and plan-line development.
- Maintain monthly performance dashboards and track operational KPIs.
- Prepare financial submissions such as accruals and scorecard updates with accuracy.
- Monitor trends in costs, field activities, and inventory to identify risks early.
- Coordinate with vendors on POs, invoicing, materials, and issue resolution.
- Review contractor billing and analyze work volumes for accuracy and cost trends.
- Collaborate with field crews, procurement, finance, and cross-functional partners.
- Facilitate project check-ins, milestone updates, and operational tracking.
- Improve processes and develop automated or structured reporting tools.
- Support major metering initiatives, technology sunsets, and replacement programs.
- Participate in safety meetings, track action items, and escalate hazards as needed.
- Plan field activities with customer impact in mind to minimize disruptions.
- Share knowledge with peers and contribute to team learning and engagement.
- Integrate and interpret data to prepare presentations and documentation for leadership decision making.
- Lead Engineering Operations projects by managing work plans, introducing new processes/technology, and ensuring milestones and quality standards are met.
- Provide process leadership by identifying opportunities to enhance or re engineer existing processes to meet reporting, regulatory, and best practice needs.
- Support business case development, requirements gathering, and gap analysis for process reengineering initiatives.
- Review and update forecasting methodologies to align with current business needs.
- Review business KPIs regularly and provide recommendations to improve productivity.
- Support relationships with assigned vendors to ensure project execution aligns with work plans.
- Support short interval vendor meetings focused on safety, standards, quality, scheduling, and resourcing.
- Monitor contractor performance for compliance, resolve non conformances, and implement corrective actions.
- Mitigate and resolve project delivery issues with internal and external stakeholders to maintain program targets.
- Participate as a subject matter expert on organizational initiatives to improve systems, processes, and practices.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Post-secondary education in Business, Engineering, Data Analytics, Finance, or a related field
- Three (3) - Five (5) years’ experience in data analysis and presentation of findings for effective decision making
- Experience in utilities, metering operations, field services, or infrastructure project environments considered an asset
- Lean, PMP Certification considered an asset
- Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated proactive problem solving with the ability to anticipate and address operational risks.
- Strong attention to detail in financial submissions, billing validation, and data accuracy
- Advanced analytical skills to identify trends, forecast impacts, and deliver actionable insights.
- Proven adaptability in fast paced environments with shifting priorities
- Contract and vendor management skills
- Knowledge of process re-engineering techniques
- Background in contractor oversight, procurement workflows, or operational finance considered an asset
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Awareness of project management processes, principles and methodologies
- Advanced knowledge of writing SQL queries, Alteryx, PowerBI to support data analytics, including strong understanding of database structures
- SAP experience considered an asset
- Proficient in development of process and system automation tools and scripting
- Ability to develop statistical tracking methodologies to track performance and measurement against set standards of quality
- Fully proficient in use of MS Office, MS Project, MS Visio and other project management tools
- Business and strategic thinking acumen
- Good understanding of business issues and challenges, specifically in a customer service environment
- Creative, innovative, forward thinking, takes initiative
- Excellent analytical and business solution development skills, including the proven ability to function effectively in a dynamic environment

This position is based in a hybrid environment allowing for remote work two days per week, based on business needs. Employees will be required to come onsite Tuesday to Thursday. You are expected to live in Ontario and within reasonable commuting distance of the office.
