As a Detail Inspector, you’ll assess, document, and determine the condition and repair requirements of products undergoing overhaul or repair, ensuring full compliance with regulatory and customer standards. You will play a key role in maintaining product quality, supporting production efficiency, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
What you’ll do:
- Determine and document product configuration and modification status to ensure compliance with applicable requirements
- Perform detailed inspections to assess product condition and verify readiness for evaluation
- Identify non-conforming conditions and determine repairability of components
- Record inspection results accurately using appropriate documentation systems
- Generate cost estimates for replacement parts and required labor
- Prepare repair documentation for unserviceable products
- Inspect and identify components within the Reduced to Spares (RTS) process
- Support and supervise trainees during on-the-job training (OJT) activities
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and cross-training efforts
Follow all safety requirements and report unsafe conditions promptly

Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of experience reading and interpreting technical blueprints, schematics, or engineering drawings
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges)
- Ability to sit for extended periods (2+ hours at a time) during inspections and documentation tasks
- Completion of a formal technical training program or ability to complete the Detail Inspector Training & Development Plan within a defined timeframe
Minimum 1 year of experience completing technical documentation or inspection reports in a professional or industrial setting

Desired Skills
- Previous Inspector experience (Asset)
- Previous experience in inspection, maintenance, or repair environments
- Working knowledge of production management systems and internal control systems
- Ability to interpret product wear and damage resulting from service use
Familiarity with technical publications such as charts, graphs, and manuals
