Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Class 1A Heavy Haul Truck Driver to join our team. In this vital role, you will operate specialized tractor-trailers designed for hauling oversized, overweight, or complex loads across diverse routes. This position is based out of Saskatoon, so you must be local.
Must have Class 1A License
Full Time / Year Round
Schedule will be full time however a blend of weekdays and weekends
Responsibilities
· Safely operate Class 1A trucks and trailers to haul heavy and oversized loads.
· Secure, load, and unload equipment and materials in compliance with safety regulations.
· Adaptable and able to operate a variety of equipment.
· Understand and ensure compliance with all transport laws and regulations including federal, provincial, and municipal.
· Keep comprehensive and detailed daily activity records including logbooks, manifests, and inspections.
· Follow company protocols for maintenance and reporting, performing basic maintenance including regular greasing, oil checks, hazard assessments, incident reports, etc.
· Practice clear and productive communication in all forms with problem-solving in mind.
· Conduct pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment is safe and road-ready.
· Responsible for compliance with personal license limitations.
· Understand and satisfy permit requirements.
REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION
- Valid Class 1A driver’s license with clean abstract.
- Proven Experience in heavy hauling and oversized load transportation.
- Ability to lift 50 Lbs.
- Physically Fit and Capable of Performing all job duties including lifting, climbing, sitting for long periods of time while driving and working outdoors in varying conditions.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Ability to Travel and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
