We are a full season lawn maintenance, landscaping, and snow management company operating out of Oakville. We are looking for a full time Lawn Crew Leader to start ASAP.
For Spring/Summer the Crew Leader's Crew Manager’s are responsible for supervising a crew of 2-4 employees in the maintenance of our commercial and residential clients, up to our standards. This role requires strong leadership, accountability, and a hands-on approach to delivering high-quality results on every site.
For Winter, you need to be comfortable driving with a plow and salter at all hours. You need to be in good physical shape, and be available on call 24/7 during winter months. You will also get a 'stand by' pay wither it snows or not. Once over your standby pay you will get $30+ an hour based on experience.
This position has opportunity for lots of growth. As we expand our business, the opportunity for upper management, and/or some ownership may be possible down the road, for the right crew leader.
Requirements:
- Valid G license with a clean drivers abstract (or near clean)
- Comfortable driving a truck and trailer daily in summer or winter
- 2 – 4 years working in the lawn or landscaping industry
- Can work all hours as needed during winter months on standby, avail 24/7.
- Responsible and Dependable
- Management experience isn’t a must, but it is definitely an asset
- Must be 22 years or older (for insurance reasons)
- Be in good physical shape & able to do some heavy lifting as required
- A business degree or certification is a huge asset
Snow Plow Operator / Crew Manager Duties:

- Operate small engine equipment and repair as needed

- Manage time spent on sites and meet or exceed monthly time budgets
- On a daily basis, use and understand the way we do things and best practices
- Complete all paperwork as required to by the Crew Manager
- Supervise, direct, lead, and train Crew Members under your direction
- Gardening, sodding, fertilizing, junk removal, cutting, blowing, etc
- Offer daily feedback and provide proactive ideas/plans directly to the owner as needed
- Project a positive company image by acting professional
- Ensure that all properties & jobs are completed up to our standards

This position pays $25 - $30+ and includes possibility of increases from year to year. Bonuses may also be discussed for reaching benchmarks.
