CLS is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Hoist Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating hoisting equipment to move materials efficiently on a construction site.
Responsibilities
- Operate hoist equipment to lift, lower, and move materials or products to designated areas
- Inspect hoist machinery before use to ensure safe operation and report any defects or malfunctions to the supervisor
- Follow all safety procedures, regulations, and site-specific requirements while operating equipment
- Communicate clearly with signalers, supervisors, and crew members to coordinate safe and efficient material movement
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of hoist equipment as required
- Keep accurate records of materials moved and equipment usage logs
- Participate in training sessions and meetings related to equipment updates and safety procedures
- Ensure full compliance with company policies and industry safety standards
Requirements
- Valid hoist operator’s license or certification (required)
- Previous experience operating hoists in construction or industrial environments
- Ability to read and follow hoisting plans, diagrams, and operational instructions
- Strong understanding of load weights, hoist capacities, and safe lifting practices
- Good physical condition and ability to work in demanding, fast-paced environments
- Strong communication skills, including ability to work effectively with signalers and site personnel
- High attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as required
Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour
