Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursing Officer to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care across various settings, including hospitals, senior care facilities, and home care environments. This role requires a strong foundation in nursing practices, medical terminology, and patient management, with experience in acute care, pediatrics, dementia care, and medication administration. The Nursing Officer will be instrumental in delivering comprehensive healthcare services and ensuring the well-being of diverse patient populations.
Duties
- Deliver direct patient care, including assessments, medication administration, and treatment planning
- Utilize electronic health record systems such as Epic and Cerner for documentation and case management
- Assist with laboratory procedures such as phlebotomy and specimen collection
- Monitor patient vital signs and manage pain effectively
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provide specialized care for pediatrics, seniors, dementia patients, and those requiring home or assisted living care
- Educate patients and families on health management and post-discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations
- Support hospital operations by managing patient flow and assisting in medical office tasks when needed
Requirements
- Valid nursing license with current registration
- Proven experience in hospital settings, acute care, or senior/dementia care environments
- Proficiency with electronic health records systems such as Epic and Cerner
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and case management principles
- Experience working with children, elderly populations, or in home care is highly desirable
- Ability to perform phlebotomy and laboratory procedures accurately
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams and patients
- Compassionate approach to patient care with a focus on safety and comfort
- Prior experience in assisted living facilities or nursing homes is advantageous
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail
Pay: $30.00-$52.03 per hour
