The Role
We are seeking an experienced Hardware Sales Representative to manage and grow an established customer territory across Ontario. This role offers the opportunity to represent respected hardware and building material product lines while developing long-term relationships and expanding market presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow sales within a territory
- Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with cabinet makers, millwork shops, manufacturers, contractors, and distributors
- Identify and develop new business opportunities with architects, designers, builders, and woodworking professionals
- Promote and provide technical expertise on cabinet hardware, functional fittings, decorative hardware, and related building products
- Conduct product presentations, showroom visits, and on-site customer support
- Meet or exceed sales targets and business development objectives
- Track sales activities, market trends, and competitor activity through regular reporting
- Maintain accurate customer and sales records in CRM/ERP systems
- Ensure all requested reports are prepared, completed, and submitted accurately and on time
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of B2B sales experience in hardware distribution
- Proven track record of managing accounts and growing sales
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field (preferred)
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and results-driven
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the assigned territory
Preferred Assets
- Experience working with designers, architects, contractors, or cabinet manufacturers
- Knowledge of cabinet hardware, decorative fittings, sliding systems, or interior materials
- Second language proficiency is considered an asset
