Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, ensure food safety standards are met, and support the kitchen staff in delivering high-quality meals to our guests.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assemble components for menu items, including chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper handling procedures to ensure hygiene and quality standards are upheld
- Support the kitchen team during busy service hours by efficiently completing meal preparation tasks
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Prepare handmade onion rings
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food handling safety practices
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude
- Flexibility to work morning shifts, including weekends or evenings if required by the restaurant schedule
Pay: From $16.75 per hour
