The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role ensures patient safety, comfort, and accurate imaging while adhering to established protocols and regulatory standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
Certification/Experience/Knowledge:
- Member of the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario required
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) certification required
- MRI Certification required
- Experience in MRI safety instruction preferred
- Knowledge of Meditech System preferred
Skills/Abilities:
- Strong organizational skills required
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all members of the health team required
- Ability to work in a fast paced, high stress environment
- Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with a variety of client groups to ensure patient focused care delivery
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development
- Must demonstrate commitment to ensure their safety, the safety of fellow workers, patients, volunteers and visitors
- Must support and contribute to a culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events in this organization
- Ability to use a variety of computer applications
- Good attendance and work record required
- Bilingualism (Advanced English/French) is an asset
