Job Title: Mobile Dental Hygienist for Elder Care
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Mobile Dental Hygienist to join our team and provide oral health services to the elderly in the comfort of their retirement home and LTC. As a Mobile Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for delivering preventative and therapeutic dental care to elderly patients who have difficulty accessing traditional dental clinics due to mobility issues, disabilities or other limitations.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting oral health assessments to identify dental needs
- Providing preventative care such as scaling, fluoride treatments and oral health education
- Administering SDF and IST
- Making referrals to dentists, physicians or other healthcare providers when necessary
- Documenting and maintaining accurate patient records and treatment plans
- Providing compassionate care and support to elderly patients and their families
Requirements:
- Current licensure as a Dental Hygienist in Ontario
- Passion for providing dental hygiene services to elderly patients. Experience is a bonus but not a must. You bring the passion, we will provide the training.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently and maintain accurate records
- A reliable transportation
