We specialize in providing premier, tailored financing solutions to property investors, developers, and corporate clients. We are seeking a highly motivated, results-driven Commercial Mortgage Agent to join our expanding team in Mississauga to originate, analyze, and close complex commercial transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development & Origination: Source and develop new commercial mortgage opportunities by building long-term relationships with property investors, developers, business owners, and commercial real estate brokers.
- Underwriting & Financial Analysis: Assess corporate financial health by analyzing financial statements, corporate tax returns, rent rolls, property appraisals, and borrower creditworthiness.
- Deal Structuring: Structure and negotiate optimal commercial lending solutions. Evaluate key financial indicators such as Debt Service Coverage Ratios ($DSCR$) and Loan-to-Value ($LTV$) percentages.
- Transaction Management: Package and submit complete loan applications to matching commercial lenders. Liaise smoothly with underwriters, appraisers, and solicitors from origination to funding.
- Compliance & Tracking: Maintain accurate client records in strict compliance with commercial mortgage regulations, licensing policies, and internal workflows while keeping an eye on capital market trends.
Qualifications & Experience
Licensing: Active & valid Commercial Mortgage Agent License (Mandatory).
Experience: 2 to 3 years minimum in commercial mortgage brokering, commercial lending, or commercial banking.
Legal Status: Must be legally authorized to work in Canada with a clean professional/regulatory record.
Education: Degree in Finance, Business, Real Estate, or Economics is highly preferred.
Core Knowledge & Technical Skills:
- Proven track record of successfully originating and funding commercial mortgage files.
- Deep knowledge of commercial real estate asset types (multifamily, retail, industrial, office, construction, or mixed-use).
- Exceptional B2B sales, negotiation, and stakeholder relationship-management skills.
- Proficiency in CRM tracking systems, specialized mortgage software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Asset: An existing, active network of commercial lenders and real estate industry professionals.
Pay: From $3,500.00 per month
