As a Retail Team Member, you'll be the face of Doughgirls—serving handcrafted pastries, artisan breads, coffee, and comfort food while helping create the friendly neighbourhood atmosphere our guests love. You'll work alongside our bakers and kitchen team to ensure every customer leaves with a smile.

What You'll Do
- Welcome every guest with genuine warmth and hospitality.
- Take customer orders accurately using our point-of-sale system.
- Prepare and serve coffee, espresso beverages, tea, and other drinks.
- Package pastries, breads, desserts, and retail products with care and attention to presentation.
- Keep display cases beautifully stocked, fresh, and inviting throughout the day.
- Answer questions about our products, ingredients, and daily specials.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked front-of-house environment.
- Restock retail merchandise, beverages, and packaging supplies.
- Support the kitchen and bakery with light food preparation and finishing tasks as needed.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
- Help open and close the café according to established procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the entire team to ensure smooth daily operations.
What We're Looking For
- Friendly, positive, and genuinely enjoys working with people.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Able to multitask while remaining calm during busy periods.
- Reliable, punctual, and takes pride in their work.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Flexible availability, including mornings, weekends, and holidays.
Experience
- Previous experience in a café, bakery, restaurant, or retail environment is an asset but not required.
- Barista experience is considered a strong asset.
- Experience using a POS system is helpful.
- A passion for great food, coffee, and hospitality is more important than previous experience.
