Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic sales professional to join our team as a Strategic Sales Manager. This leadership-focused role is responsible for driving profitable growth through strategic account management, business development, and customer relationship expansion within the heavy equipment industry.
The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen with hands-on sales execution, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has the ability to build relationships at all organizational levels—from field operations to executive leadership.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
· Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow market share and increase revenue.
· Manage and expand relationships with key strategic accounts and high-value customers.
· Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, prospecting, and consultative selling.
· Lead complex sales cycles, including negotiations, pricing strategies, and proposal development.
· Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
· Collaborate with operations, product support, and leadership teams to deliver tailored customer solutions.
· Maintain a strong sales pipeline and provide accurate forecasting and reporting.
· Represent the organization professionally at customer meetings, industry events, and presentations.
· Coach and mentor sales team members while promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For
· 5+ years of progressive sales experience, preferably within the heavy equipment, construction, mining, or industrial sectors.
· Proven success developing strategic accounts and driving revenue growth.
· Strong relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills.
· Experience managing complex sales opportunities and long sales cycles.
· Mechanical aptitude and understanding of heavy equipment components, parts, and service solutions.
· Strong organizational, planning, and time-management abilities.
· Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
· Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline is considered an asset.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
