Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server/Waitress to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role requires strong communication skills, multitasking abilities, and a passion for hospitality. Previous experience in food service and familiarity with restaurant POS systems are highly valued. The Server/Waitress will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling cash transactions, and upselling menu items to enhance guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, including cashiering duties
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and dining areas in accordance with health regulations
- Upsell menu items to increase sales opportunities while ensuring guest satisfaction
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation or setup when needed
- Provide guest services that promote a positive dining environment and encourage repeat business
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred
- Familiarity with food industry standards, including food safety and sanitation protocols
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle diverse guest needs professionally
- Knowledge of basic math for handling cash transactions accurately
- Ability to manage time effectively under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Kitchen experience or hospitality background is a plus but not required
