One of our clients is seeking an experienced Industrial/Trailer Painter to join their Keswick team on a temporary basis. This position is ideal for someone with 2–3+ years of hands-on painting experience who can work independently and requires minimal training.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and painting trailers, truck bodies, and related components, while maintaining high standards for quality, finish, and safety.
Responsibilities
· Prepare trailers, truck bodies, and components for painting using hand and pneumatic tools.
· Perform sanding, masking, surface preparation, and paint preparation.
· Mix and formulate paint according to specifications.
· Operate paint spraying and undercoating equipment.
· Sandblast and prepare surfaces as required.
· Paint trailers and various components while ensuring a high-quality finish.
· Inspect completed work to ensure proper fit, finish, and quality.
· Read and follow work instructions, drawings, and blueprints.
· Complete required quality inspection documentation.
· Safely operate or become certified to operate overhead and jib cranes up to 3 tons.
· Assist with fabrication and assembly of components as required.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
· Minimize scrap, rework, and material waste.
· Follow all company safety rules, policies, procedures, and workplace expectations.
Requirements
· 2–3+ years of hands-on industrial, trailer, truck body, automotive, or similar painting experience preferred.
· Strong experience using paint spraying equipment and painting tools.
· Experience with surface preparation, masking, sanding, paint mixing, and undercoating.
· Ability to read and understand drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
· Ability to work independently with minimal training and supervision.
· Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
· Previous experience with sandblasting, cranes, or forklifts is an asset.
· Must be willing and able to obtain required forklift and crane certifications.
· Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to the full temporary assignment.
Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
