The Carbide Operator reports directly to the Shift Supervisors and is responsible for rotating through the department processes. This position will learn and run Assembly, Brazing, Grinding, and Carbide CNC. Finally, this position is required to complete quality checks upon completion of their work process.
This position will work Monday to Friday 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm on the afternoon shift.
Job Duties
- Read, follow, and understand drawings of products.
- Ensure that the blades are correct as per the drawings.
- Maneuver products onto the assembly line.
- Complete quality checks as per the quality procedures.
- Always ensure that you are performing your job safely.
- Other job duties as assigned.
Carbide Assembly
- Prep Carbide inserts in flux applications.
- Insert Fbronze into milled channel.
- Place carbide inserts into milled channel.
Brazing
- Monitor the product, ensuring carbide inserts remain in the correct location.
- Utilize the brazing tools and equipment to fuse carbide inserts into the milled channel.
Grinding
- Utilize a hand grinder to carefully grind off access carbide on each side of the product
Carbide CNC
- Load and unload Carbide CNC.
- Scan QR code to load accurate set up.
- Watch product, monitor took life during cycles.
Requirements
- Highschool diploma or GED.
- 1 or more years in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient with imperial measurements.
- Ability to read and understand product drawings.
- Capable of conducting quality checks and inspections.
- Ability to stand, bend, crouch for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and maneuver up to 50 lbs.
- Strong communication skills.
- Clear and solid understanding of policies, practices, and procedures.
- Manual dexterity required.
