Jarvis Design Firm is looking for a Civil Engineer to join our team!
Job Type: Full-time or Part-Time
What you will do:
- Complete detailed engineering design calculations.
- Complete Civil Designs for Residential and ICI Building Projects including: Civil Design including Stormwater Management, Servicing, Grading, Erosion/Sediment control , Stormwater Management and Servicing Reports
- Review and markup Civil Drawings
- Ability to provide Structural design/engineering for building projects would be preferred but not required.
- Coordinating of engineering drawings with drafting staff.
- Contribute to business development, write design reports and preparation of formal engineering proposals in response to RFPs.
- Develop cost estimates and construction specifications.
- Develop and critically evaluate design alternatives.
- Complete Engineer Reports from Field Inspections/Assessments
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Equivalent
- Licensed Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario (required)
Experience:
- Current knowledge of industry trends, technology, codes, and regulations.
- The ability to diagram designs both manually and with computer-aided drafting.
- An excellent working knowledge of science, mathematics, and engineering principles.
- Strong analytical, critical, and problem-solving skills.
- 10-15+ years experience based in Ontario
- Stormwater management, grading design, servicing design, septic design for building site projects
- Civil 3D mandatory experience, 5-10+ years
Skills:
· Software proficiency: Civil or Structural Design Softwares, Civil 3D.
· Salary is to be determined based on each candidate's experience.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $80,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
