Overview
Sterne Acura is seeking a professional and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our automotive dealership team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repair services. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of automotive systems, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service. Prior dealership experience, mechanic knowledge, and sales aptitude are highly desirable to ensure a seamless customer experience and promote service upselling opportunities. We have been a family run dealership for almost 40 years with a great atmosphere and we are looking to add someone to our team.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and listen to their vehicle concerns to accurately diagnose service needs
- Explain recommended repairs and maintenance options clearly and professionally
- Prepare detailed service estimates and communicate timelines effectively
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize and schedule repairs, ensuring timely completion
- Upsell additional services or products that benefit the customer’s vehicle health while maintaining integrity
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and manage billing accurately
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and foster ongoing relationships
- Maintain accurate records of service orders, customer interactions, and sales activities
- Assist in promoting dealership services, specials, or promotions to maximize revenue opportunities
- Complete all Acura training requirements
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Service Advisor in an automotive dealership or repair shop preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and repairs (dealership or mechanic experience is a plus)
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
- Sales-oriented mindset with experience in upselling services or products
- Cash handling experience with attention to accuracy and accountability
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail
- Knowledge of automotive repair processes, parts, and service procedures is highly desirable
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training in automotive technology is advantageous

Pay: $45,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
