Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and creative Art Teacher to inspire students through engaging art lessons and activities. The ideal candidate will foster a love for art, support students’ artistic development, and create a positive learning environment. This role involves working with children of various ages, encouraging their creativity, and helping them explore different artistic techniques. A background in early childhood education and classroom experience is preferred to ensure effective instruction and student engagement.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate art curriculum tailored to students’ skill levels and interests
- Conduct individual and group art lessons that promote creativity, self-expression, and technical skills
- Prepare classroom materials and organize art projects for different age groups
- Provide guidance and constructive feedback to students to enhance their artistic abilities
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment that nurtures students’ confidence in their artistic endeavors
- Support students in preparing for art exhibitions or school events when applicable
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate art into broader educational activities
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment conducive to creative work
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in an educational or tutoring setting is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of various art techniques, materials, and classroom management skills
- Background in early childhood education or related fields is preferred
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of diverse backgrounds and skill levels
- Excellent communication skills to effectively teach and engage young learners
- Creative mindset with a passion for fostering artistic growth in children
- Prior classroom experience is advantageous but not mandatory; enthusiasm for teaching is essential
- Additional skills such as cooking or other creative activities are a plus but not required
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
