Digby Pines Golf Resort & Spa is seeking a talented and driven 2nd Cook (Cook 2) to join our culinary team and help deliver exceptional dining experiences across our à la carte restaurant, banquets, and resort events.

As a 2nd Cook, you will operate your own station with confidence and precision, contributing to both daily service and special events:
- Prepare and execute menu items for à la carte service, banquets, and resort functions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked station (mise en place excellence)
- Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control
- Create and contribute to daily features and seasonal specials
- Support planning and execution of food preparation within your designated area
- Supervise and guide junior cooks and kitchen staff when required
- Monitor inventory needs and assist with requisitioning supplies
- Accommodate special dietary requirements, allergies, and guest preferences
- Stay informed on daily operations, events, and culinary priorities
- 2–3 years of experience in a fine dining or upscale kitchen environment
- Culinary diploma or equivalent professional training preferred
- Strong knowledge of French and Canadian cuisine
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- A team player with leadership capability and a hands-on approach
- Creative mindset with a passion for food and presentation
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Safe Food Handling Certification (required)
- WHMIS certification
- First Aid & CPR (asset)
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment
