Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks to transport freight and goods across various routes. This role requires a focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism to ensure timely deliveries and excellent service. Candidates with skills in forklift operation, heavy equipment handling, and automotive repair are highly valued to support overall operational needs.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport freight and cargo to designated locations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transit
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules or issues
- Perform minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to ensure vehicle readiness
- Assist with warehouse duties related to freight handling when not on the road
Skills
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with clean driving record
- Experience operating freight trucks and heavy equipment such as forklifts
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety standards
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs and troubleshooting
- Strong organizational skills for managing delivery schedules and documentation
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently in various environments
Pay: From $35.00 per hour
