Shop Hand / Fleet & Facilities Maintenance Coordinator
Location: Airdrie, AB
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Full-Time)
We are seeking a reliable, motivated, and safety-focused Shop Hand / Fleet & Facilities Maintenance Coordinator to join our team in Airdrie. This position plays a key role in supporting our fleet operations, shop organization, facility maintenance, material management, and logistics activities.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the maintenance, organization, and cleanliness of the shop and yard.
- Coordinate and support fleet vehicle maintenance, inspections, servicing, and repairs.
- Perform general building and property maintenance tasks.
- Manage inventory, materials, tools, and equipment.
- Receive, inspect, and organize incoming shipments.
- Prepare and coordinate outgoing shipments and deliveries.
- Complete local pickups and deliveries using company vehicles.
- Maintain accurate records for materials, fleet maintenance, and inventory.
- Support project teams by ensuring materials and equipment are available when required.
- Operate forklifts and other equipment safely (training provided if required).
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract.
- Previous experience in a shop, warehouse, fleet maintenance, construction, or industrial environment is considered an asset.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work.
- Mechanically inclined with basic knowledge of vehicle and equipment maintenance.
- Forklift certification is an asset.
- Proficient with basic computer programs and inventory tracking systems.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
