Job Overview
Nomo Nomo is a Japanese-inspired snack bar located on Commercial Drive in Vancouver. We opened in September and are currently growing our back-of-house team.
We are a small but very busy restaurant, and we rely on a strong, fast, and supportive team to keep service running smoothly every day.
We are hiring a Line Cook / Prep Cook to join our kitchen team.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone reliable, hardworking, and positive.
Experience is an asset, but attitude is most important.
We are willing to train the right person.
You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and enjoy being part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Prep and cook menu items consistently and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards
- Work closely with kitchen team during service
- Follow recipes and plating standards
- Support daily kitchen operations and prep work
- Communicate clearly and work as part of a team
Requirements
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada
- Availability for evenings, late nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Food Safe Level 1 is an asset (not required)
Preferred (Not Required)
- 1+ year kitchen experience
- Experience in Japanese, yoshoku, or fusion cuisine
- Strong interest in learning and growing in the kitchen
