Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Pest Control Technician to join our team. This role involves inspecting, treating, and preventing pest issues in residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable working outdoors and in confined spaces. Prior experience with sales, hand tools, farm machinery, or power tools is a plus, but training will be provided for specific pest control techniques. Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of properties to identify pest infestations and entry points
- Apply appropriate pest control treatments using various tools and chemicals in accordance with safety regulations
- Educate clients on pest prevention methods and recommend ongoing maintenance plans
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and farm machinery as needed for treatment applications
- Maintain detailed records of service visits, treatments performed, and follow-up requirements
- Assist in the setup and cleanup of equipment before and after treatments
- Follow all safety protocols to ensure personal safety and environmental protection during service delivery
- Engage in sales activities by providing knowledgeable advice to clients about pest management solutions
Experience
- Prior experience in pest control or related fields such as agriculture or landscaping is advantageous but not required; comprehensive training will be provided
- Familiarity with sales techniques is a plus for customer interaction and upselling services
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, or farm machinery helps enhance efficiency in treatment applications
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and navigate different property types
- Strong communication skills to effectively explain services and safety procedures to clients
- Valid driver’s license is preferred for travel between job sites
