Role Overview
Reporting to the Director of PMO, the Project Manager has hybrid responsibilities in project execution and strategy to contribute to our overall company objectives. Responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and delivering cross-functional projects that span product, engineering, operations, compliance, and go-to-market teams. As a growing 150-person organization, we move quickly and this role keeps work organized, stakeholders aligned, and outcomes on track without adding unnecessary process. You will help build and contribute to our AI-assisted project execution engine. You will own project plans end-to-end, anticipate, flag, and resolve risks, blockers and bottlenecks early, and keep momentum across a fast-paced, regulated environment. Our ICONIC values shape how you contribute to RockWallet.
Key Responsibilities
Cross-functional Coordination
- Collaborate with product managers, engineering managers, designers, compliance, operations, and external vendors to define project requirements and drive execution toward company goals
- Incorporate vendor and external partner deliverables where projects depend on them
- Drive day-to-day execution: run stand-ups and working sessions, track action items, and close loops so nothing gets handed off without resolution
Planning & Risk Management
- Plan, scope, and manage cross-functional projects end-to-end — defining objectives, milestones, owners, dependencies, and timelines
- Proactively identify risks, blockers, bottlenecks and changes; adjust plans based on new information and escalate the right issues at the right time
- Balance speed and delivery with sound judgment, compliance, and customer impact
Stakeholder Communication
- Keep stakeholders accountable, informed, aligned, and free of surprises
- Report project KPIs, status, and health to leadership on a regular cadence
- Demonstrate collaboration and decisiveness in resolving business problems, making decisions, and identifying priorities;
AI-Assisted Operations
- Apply AI and automation tools to streamline project workflows, reporting, status updates, and documentation; recommend where they can add value
Process Improvement
- Continuously improve how projects are delivered by favoring simpler, smarter approaches over heavy process
- Influence and enhance project performance within a cross-functional environment
Documentation Hygiene
- Maintain clear, accurate project documentation including plans, decision logs, status updates, and retrospectives and ensure Asana and Jira hygiene and compliance with process standards
- Other duties as required
How We Get Things Done – Our ICONIC Values
Our ICONIC values shape how every RockWallet team member works. We look for a Project Manager who brings them to life every day:
- Integrity – Does the right thing, even when it’s inconvenient; raises risks and concerns early rather than working around them, and treats customer trust and data security as non-negotiable.
- Collaborative – Works across boundaries and avoids silos; shares information proactively, seeks input from relevant stakeholders, and prioritizes organization outcomes over individual or team wins.
- Ownership – Takes responsibility for outcomes, not just tasks; follows through on commitments, closes loops, and thinks end-to-end about impact on customers, teams, and the business.
- Nimble – Adapts quickly while staying disciplined; responds effectively to change, balances speed with sound judgment and compliance, and avoids over-engineering when simpler solutions will work.
- Innovative – Continuously improves how we work and what we deliver; challenges outdated processes and uses data, experimentation, and new tools—including AI—to drive practical improvement.
- Customer – Puts the customer at the center of decisions; designs solutions that reduce friction and balances business goals with customer trust and experience.
