Job Title: Human Resources Advisor

Location: Winchester area, Ontario
Schedule: Permanent, Full-Time (40 hours/week)
Position Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to support both office and unionized manufacturing operations. This role is highly hands-on and requires a strong relationship-builder who can work closely with employees on the floor while partnering with leadership on HR strategy and day-to-day operations.
This individual will play a key role in fostering a positive workplace culture and supporting a unionized workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary HR point of contact for both office and factory employees
- Build strong relationships with employees and leadership, including regular presence on the production floor
- Manage employee relations matters, including grievances, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions
- Support and advise leadership on labor relations, collective agreements, and negotiations
- Partner with union representatives and assist with ongoing agreement negotiations
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives
- Support performance management, employee development, and succession planning
- Oversee and maintain HR policies, procedures, and personnel records
- Identify and implement process improvements across HR systems and practices
- Support internal communications and employee engagement initiatives
- Assist with health & safety programs and committee involvement
- Manage multiple HR priorities in a fast-paced, operational environment
Qualifications
- 7+ years of progressive HR experience
- Experience working in a unionized environment is required
- Experience supporting manufacturing, construction, or similar workforce environments is strongly preferred
- Strong experience managing grievances and employee relations matters
- Proven ability to build relationships and influence across all levels of an organization
- Comfortable working in a hands-on, on-site role with regular interaction on the production floor
- Bilingual in French and English would be considered an asset
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $75,000 – $90,000, based on experience
- Performance-based bonus (tied to individual and company objectives)
